LAUGH OUT LOUD Great News about Tony Blair Innit! NOT!

It is my belief that this man and his Chum Gordon Brown, has Sold out the Working Class of this country in order to feed the Upper Middle Classes and the Rich to get their support & their votes, thus allowing this so called New Labour Government to get exactly what Tony Blair has now, LOADSA MONEY!

The average working class people struggle to pay their way and try to have at least an existance and perhaps a little bit over for a rainy day. Not anymore, Increases in Bills and Tax Hikes has seen to that.

This Government has Sold us down the drain. Tony Blair and Gordon Brown are Traitors and should be treated as such.

Christine Pitman Remembered

REST IN PEACE

Hopefully, now the Seat has been secured into position on the corner of Tamarisk & South Road, it will be a welcome site for our senior citizens to pit stop on their walk to and from the Village or just people wishing to rest and take in the view of the new planting that has taken place under the Banner of South Ockendon in Bloom Project.

This Bench is also Laid in memory of a Local Senior Citizen, Christine Pitman who passed away last year.

She had been an outstanding member of the community and had worked hard for the members of South Ockendon on the Thurrock Residents Action Group and covered many projects.

A Survey I had Carried out last year (2007) at the Party in The Park, showed a lot of people in Belhus and Ockendon did not know who their Councilor was or what they looked like, so here you are. The Councilor's are voted in office by you to represent you, so use them, that is what they are there for. OH HAPPY DAY!!!!

Zebra Crossing Update (South Road)

SOUTH ROAD ZEBRA CROSSING

This work is now continuing as the picture shows, they have now laid the anti skid Tarmac, so hopefully, the Paintwork will soodn be done.

THERE ARE STILL IDIOTS PARKING ACCROSS THESE DROPPED KERBS.

There will be regular checks on this and the culprits will be dealt with by the law and Photo's will be taken as evidence and witness statements.

This crossing is a much needed safety aspect of this part of South Road

HGV'S USING SOUTH ROAD

Look at me, do I look stupid?

NO. JUST CUDDLY, LOVABLE!

AND STILL ALIVE

I live in South Ockendon, just off of South Road. I cross this road on many occasion as do many of the Residents in this community. The Weight Restriction on this part of South Road is 7.5 from the Village Junction of West Road to the Junction of Buckles Lane and with access only. HGV'S are taking short cuts through this village in order to avoid backlogs on the M25. They are using there Sat Navs to guide them through. The Police are not interested as it means they have to work for their pay. They believe that these HGV'S should come up South Road as it takes the heat off of them re complaints from West Road. LAW IS LAW and these Lorries are breaking it, therefore they should be prosecuted and the Vehicles should be ceased until the FINES ARE PAID. This is not going to go away. If not Policed, tragedy will happen and then all the bullshit will come out.

ACT NOW and there will be no need for Bullshit.

SOUTH ROAD ZEBRA CROSSING

The New South Road Zebra Crossing.

Now well under way, with just the Electrics and the painting of the White Lines to do. This project has taken a long time from the original Petition Presented in October 2006 to now with a few delays along the way.

A local Senior Citizen who has had problems crossing the stretch of road, is seen presenting the petition to Cllr Lawrence.

Thanks to Cllr Barrie Lawrence and Cllr Amanda Arnold for their support on this project. This will hopefully now calm traffic Down and Drivers will show some respect for the Pedestrians who wish to cross this road with confidence. There are two Bus Stops and a Convenience Store which are used on a regular basis, not to mention schools in the area.
