HGV's in SOUTH ROAD 7.5 ton RESTRICTION
SOUTH OCKENDON
28th April 2010
These two were photographed passing Village Wines Zebra Crossing on Wednesday afternoon!
The Police don't seem to care for this Law as niether do Thurrock Council!
If not policed properly and some examples made, they will continue to increase in number through our Village!
The Belhus Country Park project will increase the numbers of their HGV tippers up to a 100 per day through the South Road 7.5 ton Restriction and will be issued with permits to do so! Do we really want this? I don't think so! Start writing to Thurrock Council Highways now! Also let the Thames Gateway Development Corporation know that it is not on! They are the Un-Elected Quango making all the decisions in Thurrocks re generation that is affecting our lives!
Pollution from their lorries, smelly dust from their mobile bucket's! Damage to our Roads, Danger to our pedestrians!

Belhus Country Park
Ham River Site!

After delving into both sides of the coin so to speak, it has become apparant that the original plan did have provision for horse grazeing on the North field however, it was the Thames Gateway Development Corporation that had made the decision to cancel it as they did not want horse grazeing On the Belhus Country Park! Therefore a new plan was submitted by Rural Arisings to disclude the Horse Grazeing and then the plan was passed!

This issue should be taken up with Thames Gateway Development Corporation! The North site would take up to three years to complete anyway!

Belhus Land Ltd had followed legal procedure to vacate the original tenant/lessee with two months notice under the 364 day lease agreement as per rent contract which terms this lease as Not Permanant! In turn, only one months notice needed to be given to the sub tenant and one months notice to the sub sub tenants!

As of 1st April 2010, those Horse owners who remain on the land, do so Illegally!!

Alternative accomodation was offered to all horse owners, some had found there own, now leaving aprox three horseowners on site! Mediation has been offered by A member of the Flowers Estate Community group, to organise a meeting between all Parties involved. To date this has not been taken up by the Horse owners, however Belhus land has agreed to meet with them to bring this issue to a conclusion!

Rural Arisings need to get onto this part of the land to carry out important tests, especially after the amount of rainfall that has soaked through the thin layer of soil that covers the chemicals underneath. They cannot enter this part of the land while the horses are roaming free, because of the danger to staff and their vehicles would be a danger to the horses. Ural Arisings also need to build up all around the edges to prevent Bikers from gettin through to the Motorway, possibly causing carnage or even death!

PLEASE NOTE, THAT THIS ISSUE IS NOT WITH RURAL ARISINGS, WHO HAVE NO DURISTICTION OVER BELHUS LANDS LEGAL ISSUES WITH THE HORSE OWNERS!

SORA, had done their best to offer support to the horse owners left on site but as the information emerged and the complication of the illegal move to remain as tresspassers on this site, SORA had no option but to withdraw their support from this issue due the possibilty of being sued for supporting the action!

To sum up, Chris Savill (FEC) has agreed to mediate between Belhus Land Ltd and The Horse Owners that are left on site and is now awaiting confirmation of dates to be looked at! Bearing in mind that the end result would be to vacate the land, but with some compromise to give time to!

Let's hope this will be grasped with open arms and a conclusion reached!

Horses Injured
After Fences Cut Down
Two horses have injuries (suspected knife wounds) after fences were cut down at the Ham River site again! This is where the Belhus Country Park project is starting to take shape. It was said that the cuts on the horses were too deep to be from the wire fencing. There is cause for concern for the welfare of these horse and hopefully the Police and RSPCA have been informed. If this Rita Day is such a caring horse lover, why is she putting them at risk by leaving the fencing and just taking the poles? If this is the case, she should be prosecuted! Compromises need to be made from all parties on this issue to help find land for these horses who, through no fault of their own are piggy in the middle!! If Thurrock Council do have land for grazeing then give these people help to access it!!

Horses for Courses!
After the SORA meeting on the 8th April 2010, the editor of this blog had been copied in on emails sent out via SORA and some responses!
I was amazed that Rural Arisings, Council officers and some councilor's had stated that the Ham River site for the Landfill, which belongs to Belhus Land Ltd, was not there responsibility as regards the Horses and there re settlement and that the responsibilty lays with sub tennants of this land and Belhus Land Ltd!!!
SO WHO IS MONITORING WHAT IS BEING DUMPED THERE THEN?
WHO'S RESPONSIBILITY IS IT TO KEEP THESE PEOPLE IN CHECK THEN?
WHO WILL TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE FIRST DEATH CAUSED BY THIS SITE THEN?
WHAT IS ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH FOR THEN?
Name and Shame these Directors of Belhus Land Ltd
Because they are
The Land owners
who are ultimately responsible for the Tactics used against
these Horse Owners!
THURROCK COUNCIL HAS A DUTY TO SUPPORT IT'S COMMUNITY'S AND IT'S PEOPLE'S!

£90,000........ For This?

Are we all that naive about BASILDON & THURROCK COUNCIL?

Do they think we are impressed with this?

Oh look we are in Basildon!!

Whoopee! They wasted our Taxes because they thought we needed to know where we were!

Come on Thurrock, how about one for lakeside, so you can all warrant ripping us off!!!

YET AGAIN!!!!

Flowers Estate
Parking Restriction
It does'nt take rocket Science to work out who benefits from these Parking restrictions! If Thurrock Council is going to spend over £4000 on Parking ticket meters, then they would need to protect their investment by having parking restrictions in our roads and closes to stop commuters from evading the charges!
By having yellow lines on kerbsides, it would ALSO stop residents parking in those areas when at night, it is awkward to park and use the curbside's! The restriction will also affect those same residents who would have toget out of their beds to go and move their vehicles between the hours stated, even though they were on nights, lates, looking after vulnerable adults, disabled people, sick children or even poorly themselves! This is not fair and not equality of life!
The problem should lay with the selfish commuters, let them pay for the inconvenience they are causing us!
Yes, there are problems at the Station end of the Estate and a proposal was put forward to the residents meeting last week to let the revenue from those machines pay for the residents Parking Permits!!! END OF!
We don't care what they pay in other towns for Permit's, we are not paying for Permits or for inconvenience pushed onto us by the Commuter's!!!!
THE FIGHT GOES ON!
