- This Site is intended to represent the Flowers Estate and Ockendon Village and will cover issues that affect South Ockendon and the Residents in this Community as also the Environment. The intentions of the editor of this site are to Challenge issues that go beyond and against the grain of this communities people and there spirit. This Community as a whole, should stand together on all issues and fight to supress the oppressor's who dare to attempt to take from the people and their environment, but have no intention of giving anything back. Local Authorities and Agencies need to be reminded that Democracy was fought for in two world wars and people died in those wars who came from my Village, SOUTH OCKENDON: I am The Village, I am part of The Community but most of all I belong to It's People. My people have a right to voice opinion, they have a right to free speech, they have a right to decide on Important Issues surrounding their Community. They have a right to Honesty! THEY HAVE THE POWER OF VOTE! When you read through the issues of my Village, show respect and Listen to it's people, then you will have the key to my heart, AMEN.

Where is South Ockendon windmill? Over 30 years ago it collapsed and the structure was put into storage by Essex County Council. I understand some parts may have been used to restore another windmill. With the creation of a country park wouldn't a restored windmill, the original South Ockendon windmill, make it a better place to visit. Perhaps do some digging and find out what has Essex County Council done with our windmill? There must be Lottery and heritage grants available to get our windmill back and restore it to its former glory?
Start a petition then, don't leave it those who are doing enough already! This is about trucks coming down South Road through the restriction!
