HGV PETITION IS VITAL

This is a very important Issue
RURAL ARISINGS & BELHUS LAND Ltd intend to bring a minimum of 100 HGV Tippers through South Ockendon to tip their loads on the Arisdale site in Order to create the New Belhus Country Park. The roads that will be used are West Road, South Road and Daiglen Drive. These operations will be for Five and a Half days per week over the next 12 years. This is not acceptable as this would add much more to the already overload of traffic using these routes & South Road has a 7.5 ton restriction anyway.
We petition the Thurrock Thames Gateway Corporation to find an alternative route for these vehicles as the existing roads are now congested enough and with alterations done in Daiglen drive with their mini roundabouts and school crossings, this traffic volume is not acceptable. Driving through the Village is not acceptable.
Your support is needed and to sign the Petition which will be distributed soon.
CONTACT YOUR COUNCILLORS AND LET THEM KNOW YOUR VIEWS.
This is not about the Country Park, we want the Country Park, but not at a cost to Lives or to the quality of our Environment.
"POWER TO THE PEOPLE"

Thanks for bringing this to our atention. I completely agree that the number of proposed lorry movements is completely unacceptable.

hi i will do my best to stand up to these people there are so many issues that we at the horse field have noticed as there development mess is so close to us and our horses . there going to earn millions over the 10 years and it might go on for 15 years plus the work on the land is a danger and the developers know this but are still doing the work. the land will not handle the weight of every thing dumped on the land and will cause the gasses under the grond will build up and blow and the developers say it ok it wont happen near the houses and if it happens there is no cure there just leave the part of land and try again on another part . yes the land was a former land fill site but it is not as bad as there saying , the worst parts of the contaminated land is on the far west side near m25 not near the houses and our horse field part . were campaigning and were going to have a street protest soon all support is welcome we have a group on face book called save our horses home the ham river any one can join and theres a petition any one can sign pleasr fill free to have a look .also i did not realise cllr curtis was supporting my cause im am very greatful and i will come to meeting on the 8th april thank you
