Flowers Estate
Parking Restriction
It does'nt take rocket Science to work out who benefits from these Parking restrictions! If Thurrock Council is going to spend over £4000 on Parking ticket meters, then they would need to protect their investment by having parking restrictions in our roads and closes to stop commuters from evading the charges!
By having yellow lines on kerbsides, it would ALSO stop residents parking in those areas when at night, it is awkward to park and use the curbside's! The restriction will also affect those same residents who would have toget out of their beds to go and move their vehicles between the hours stated, even though they were on nights, lates, looking after vulnerable adults, disabled people, sick children or even poorly themselves! This is not fair and not equality of life!
The problem should lay with the selfish commuters, let them pay for the inconvenience they are causing us!
Yes, there are problems at the Station end of the Estate and a proposal was put forward to the residents meeting last week to let the revenue from those machines pay for the residents Parking Permits!!! END OF!
We don't care what they pay in other towns for Permit's, we are not paying for Permits or for inconvenience pushed onto us by the Commuter's!!!!
THE FIGHT GOES ON!

Well its time the people that love to park outside our homes, so forcing the council to get the monkeys from the local zoo to sort it out for them.just give each resident(of which i'am one) a simple badge for there car and those without a nice bill to help look after the grassland on our estate.
Why do thurrock council like to make it hard for them self and us every time they get the monkeys out ?

I live in the flowers estate and would happily pay a small annual charge to be able to park my car in my own street. The lazy, ignorant, selfish commuters are the problem, but knocking back every plan by the council to help us doesn't solve the problem. If the SORA could help the residents instead of opposing them it would be helpful.
