Horses Injured
After Fences Cut Down
Two horses have injuries (suspected knife wounds) after fences were cut down at the Ham River site again! This is where the Belhus Country Park project is starting to take shape. It was said that the cuts on the horses were too deep to be from the wire fencing. There is cause for concern for the welfare of these horse and hopefully the Police and RSPCA have been informed. If this Rita Day is such a caring horse lover, why is she putting them at risk by leaving the fencing and just taking the poles? If this is the case, she should be prosecuted! Compromises need to be made from all parties on this issue to help find land for these horses who, through no fault of their own are piggy in the middle!! If Thurrock Council do have land for grazeing then give these people help to access it!!

Unfortunately, it was the decision of the Thames gateway development corporation to change the plan, they do not want Horses grazing on the land when the restoration is finished! This is where the protest should go to!

No! You don't need more because you have to move the horses! Perhaps you may feel it's not fair, but if you do your homework on this you will see that Thames Gateway have the final decision on the planning! Take your protest to them, ask them why they don't want horses on the Country Park! You seem to mix three issues together, but have no clue on any!
