HGV PETITION IS VITAL

This is a very important Issue

RURAL ARISINGS & BELHUS LAND Ltd intend to bring a minimum of 100 HGV Tippers through South Ockendon to tip their loads on the Arisdale site in Order to create the New Belhus Country Park. The roads that will be used are West Road, South Road and Daiglen Drive. These operations will be for Five and a Half days per week over the next 12 years. This is not acceptable as this would add much more to the already overload of traffic using these routes & South Road has a 7.5 ton restriction anyway.

We petition the Thurrock Thames Gateway Corporation to find an alternative route for these vehicles as the existing roads are now congested enough and with alterations done in Daiglen drive with their mini roundabouts and school crossings, this traffic volume is not acceptable. Driving through the Village is not acceptable.

Just to put the Record straight. It was I that instigated the petition for the Zebra Crossing and nothing to do with the Forum.

This action was started due to my finding a Senior Citizen waiting to cross South Road for 10 minutes as no traffic would slow down or stop for her. It took well over a year to get this far with it (still waiting for white line painting), but we got there.

It was the People from the Flowers Estate, Brandon Groves, Orchard Drive, South Road and Ockendon Village that signed the Petition and supported the Crossing, with the support from Cllr Lawrence and Cllr Arnold.

I could have forecast the Lie because I knew this Councillor would not tell the Truth.

I was informed a long time ago that there was opposition to the zebra crossing, by someone living on that Terrace along South Road. I also wrote a letter informing the Residents in that Terrace, that if our Crossing application was rejected then I would petition the Council to put double yellow lines on each side of the road to stop kerb parking and have the old bus stop lay by filled in. I have pictures of her car illegally Parked on the kerb and will continue to take pictures as evidence of her breaking the law and this is a Councillor!!!

This Councillor did know about the crossing, that is why she tried to get it stopped for her own selfish reason of parking her car.

I opposed her application and quite rightly the application was refused.

In my opinion she used her position to try and manipulate the decision of the crossing to gain favour for her application of a dropped kerb, but failed. She knew, so she should tell the truth and Publicly appologise, or resign!

Had she got her way, then I believe that the car would probably be parked on the verge crossing two pathways, because that is what people do and she proves it by parking half on the Kerb everyday.

You can see the plan at the top. This Plan was sent to all who were living in the close proximity of the Proposed crossing and were asked for their comments. I believe that once she saw this plan she was the one who opposed it. Tell the truth Woman or resign! Maybe you could go and work for Ken Livingston?

I would believe that Your Tilbury Riverside Constituants would want to know the type of person they elected, especially that you do not live in their area!!!!

REMEMBER THIS LADY, YOU GOOD PEOPLE, BECAUSE THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A RESPONSIBLE PERSON REPRESENTING A COMMUNITIES SPIRIT AND WELL BEING. "NOT MUCH HOPE FOR THEM THEN!".

They are not that interested in our health and environment as they would have you believe.

Up to 10 years of Misery with their vehicles in and out of the site, kicking up dust and pollution from their vehicles through our village.

S.O.C.F has been in negotiations with Rural Arisings for the past 18 months. They have not considered the consequences properly and as to how the Local people feel. They claim to have had consultations in the community.

They claim to have every Residents agreement by way of Committee Groups on the Forum voting to support Rural Arisings and the Country Park.

The Chairs of those groups do not Represent every Resident in South Ockendon and certainly did not get all their agreement.

South Ockendon Residents Association (S.O.R.A), is the Largest Representative of South Ockendon Residents by name alone, therefore it would have been good protocol for the Forum to use this gateway to get approval or otherwise by way of debate and leaflet, pointing out the 10year pitfall to get to the end result of the Country Park.

Nobody would be against the Country Park. The problem is, the Crap we all will have to put up with and the Possibility of Illness through Pollution and adverse effects of what is under that thin layer of topsoil that will be disturbed.

South Ockendon Community Forum. How Low Can They Go

Fabrication & Lies

It is a sorry day to have to report that my editor had received a letter from these people, which was a complete fabrication, stating that he was verbally abusive to a volunteer of the Forum. This is so untrue.

At the time of the alledged incident, Cllr Barrie Lawrence was in attendance at the Forum and standing next to him the whole time and he never heard any abuisive remarks at all. These people at the Forum are not Honest people and are trying to manipulate situations to suit their own agenda's.

Chris Savill is my Editor and he strives for Honesty for the people of South Ockendon. He has nothing to gain on a personal basis, not even donations of any sort. Chris has no hidden agenda's, he genuinly believes in his community and challenges anything that is threatening the Communities well being. He gains nothing personally except the satisfaction of seeing things being put right.

A complaint was made to SOCF regarding them being in breech of their own constitution, by refusing to display a leaflet re Little Belhus Country Park in their window, which gave information taken from official documents and a section of how this could affect you. They refused it because they were supporting the Country Park, full stop. No Debate out in the community, no vote, no proper information until the last minute.

SOCF has been involved in consultations with Rural Arisings and Belhus Land Ltd for 18 Months and not put it out to the Community in the proper maner and full disclosure until now. They all Knew the pitfalls of Heavy Traffic through the Village and Belhus and the fact that Uknown Toxic and Industrial waste substances are going to be disturbed on the Arisdale site. They are also aware of the Traffic Pollution and the Possible Pollution from the site will cause problems but choose to draw a blank from it.

This is why they have set up a SPIN by way of throwing accustions at Chris to draw attention away from themselves. What they have done to him is Despicable. Chris has emailed the Forum requesting a meeting with the 4 Directors and the person who wrote the allegation and with Cllr Barrie Lawrence as Material Witness to Chris's visit to the forum.

Watch this space, because Chris Does not like LIARS AND CHEATS.

If Rural Arisings ( the landscapers) & Belhus Land Ltd ( who own the land) and are involved in this Landfill/Country Park Project only give you 40% of the information, WHICH IS ALL THEY HAVE DONE

The chances are you could end up being even more sick or even Dead!

These people are out to make Money, not to give this land out of the kindness of their own heart!

They Cannot Sell it. They cannot build on it, but they can charge Demolition Company's and House Builders to Dump on it.

They will make millions OF £'S on it,

That is why they are giving it to the People at the end product

The Essex Wildlife Trust to Manage it

as a Country Park.

BECAUSE THEN, THEY CAN UNLOAD THE RESPONSIBILITY OF IT, AS THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE ANY MORE MEGA-BUCKS FROM THIS LAND.

South Road Zebra Crossing V Councillor Okunade

Great Start, but slow finishing!

What a Slow Coach our Council are. We were promised that the WHITE LINES would be painted in , two weeks after the dropped kerb and Anti Skid surface was put in.

Now 4 weeks on and we are still waiting. After talking to T/C, it seems we are waiting on EDF ENERGY to find the time to install the electrics to the Poles so the orange globes can be put on. Then the Council says it would only take two days to Paint in The neccessary Lines and the Crossing. But EDF feel it is not that urgent ( well not until someone is seriously injured or killed anyway ).

This crossing was delayed because a certain person in a nearby Terraced House put in an objection to it. The crossing was given planning permission and Work had started.

When I made enquiries about the objection, I was hitting a brick wall, but I had my suspicions as a vehicle was parked half way on the kerb outside their house. When I checked the Planning Site, I noticed that an application had been put in for a dropped kerb by the same person and from that address just feet away from where the crossing is to be and now situated.

I Objected to this Dropped Kerb Application as there could not be a driveway situated in the middle of zig zag lines and only feet away from the crossing. This would present a hazard.

The consultation period has now closed for planning application no. 08/00001/FUL

Current Status: Pending Consideration. Target Date 28th Feb 2008

Lo and Behold, I found out that the applicant is a Labour Councilor for Tilbury Riverside & Co.

SAY NA MORE, NUDGE, NUDGE, WINK, WINK, NEED A NEW MOTOR JOHN, SPECIAL HAND-SHAKE, NODS AS GOOD AS A WINK TO A BLIND BAT.

Lets just see what the Planning Committee do about this one. I've got paperwork to prove monkey movers are operating in this Council.

Parkland Developments Ltd have re input another Planning Application that is exactly the same as the one that was previously Rejected.

Now I wonder why they think that this one will go through?

Could it be that someone in Thurrock Council has given them the nod and a promise?

Nudge, Nudge, Nods as good as a Wink to a blind bat, Palm the Hand, Say Na More!

Thurrock Council must think us as local Village Parsnip Pickers, not that there's anything wrong with Village Parsnip Pickers! But these people think we must be stupid and not keep check on the applications and what is going on in the world.

This Company are being greedy and trying to get the extra two flats in the roof, which has been rejected By the Planning Committee who have also heard the Objections from the Local People to the plans. So why have this Company presented it again?

This was the question I put in an email to the Company today 22nd Feb 2008 and so far not got a reply. I will also ask the Planning Department the same question and also ask why this new planning application was accepted, given the last result.
